![]() Plus I like buying games for cheap.Learn all about downloading your games, cloud storage, and tracking achievements using Origin.ĭon’t have Origin on your computer? Read our guide on how to download, install, and update it. Id rather outright "own" (using the term loosely) my games outright and be done with it. Sucker you in with a low init price then raise it later or make you buy premium membership for newer titles. I imagine if a majority of gamers switched to subscription base model they would freely raise the price. Minus: you still have to pay regular price for most (some DLC is included depending on the game) DLC you buy and monthly fee is subject to rise. Instead of buying one - 3 games a year (AAA I assume) you have access to many games. In the long run I think its good for companies like EA and bad for consumers. Its just there so companies can have income they can depend on instead of having to rely on sheer game sales. Me Ive had subscriptions to a variety of mediums and I rarely used them. ![]()
